An Act To Allow a Snowmobile Registered in New Hampshire To Be Operated in This State
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §13104, sub-§15 is enacted to read:
15. Reciprocity. Reciprocity must be allowed to nonresidents who are residents of the State of New Hampshire if similar privileges are allowed to residents of this State by the State of New Hampshire and as long as the nonresidents are covered by a valid registration from the State of New Hampshire.
A. If a snowmobile is owned by a nonresident who is a resident of the State of New Hampshire but is primarily operated by a resident of this State, it must be registered under this section.
B. Nothing in this subsection may be construed to authorize the operation of any snowmobile in a manner contrary to this subchapter.
SUMMARY
This bill allows a nonresident who is a resident of the State of New Hampshire and who has registered a snowmobile in New Hampshire to operate that snowmobile in this State.
