An Act To Waive Tolls on the Maine Turnpike for Certain Disabled Maine Veterans
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 23 MRSA §1973, sub-§6 is enacted to read:
6. Use by disabled veterans. The authority shall waive tolls on the turnpike for a veteran who meets the qualifications for a property tax exemption under Title 36, section 653 on the basis of a disability. The authority shall issue a windshield placard to a veteran for whom tolls are waived under this subsection.
