‘An Act To Amend the Laws Governing Hospital and Therapeutic Leave Days for MaineCare Recipients’
Amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting the following:
Amend the bill in the emergency preamble by striking out all of the 3rd paragraph (page 1, lines 5 to 7 in L.D.) and inserting the following:
Whereas, ‘this legislation clarifies the number of allowable hospital leave days by specifying that MaineCare recipients are limited to 7 hospital leave days per hospital visit and 20 therapeutic leave days per year; and’
Amend the bill in section 1 in the initiative in the 2nd line (page 1, line 20 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "4" and inserting the following: ' 4 7'
Amend the bill in section 1 in the initiative in the last line (page 1, line 21 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "one therapeutic leave days day" and inserting the following: ' one 20 therapeutic leave days'
Amend the bill by inserting after section 1 the following:
‘Sec. 2. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.

Initiative: Adjusts funding by limiting therapeutic leave days in the MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapters II and III, Section 45 and Section 67, to 7 hospital leave days per hospital visit and 20 therapeutic leave days per year.
