An Act To Prohibit Prisoners from Filing Protection from Harassment Complaints against Corrections Personnel
Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §4652, as amended by PL 2003, c. 658, §1 and c. 689, Pt. B, §6, is further amended by adding at the end a new paragraph to read:
A person who is confined in a state correctional or detention facility or a county jail may not bring a complaint under this chapter against a person who is a corrections officer or who is another individual responsible for the custody, care or treatment of the person confined.

This bill prevents a person who is confined in a state correctional or detention facility or a county jail from bringing a complaint of harassment against a corrections officer or any other person responsible for the person's custody, care or treatment.
