Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry estimates that there are 525 municipalities with a population of 5,000 or less that could be affected by this bill and has assumed that 250 of these municipalities would be impacted with one additional redemption center in each.  The department would require a General Fund appropriation of $71,117 in fiscal year 2013-14 and $75,472 in fiscal year 2014-15 for one Consumer Protection Inspector position and related costs to inspect additional redemption centers.  At the existing license fee of $50 the 250 new redemption centers would generate $1,250 annually in dedicated revenue.
