The amendment
requires the Department of Environmental Protection and the Maine Land Use
Planning Commission within the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and
Forestry to consider new criteria when determining whether an applicant for
an expedited wind energy development must provide a visual impact assessment.
Any additional costs to these departments to consider the new criteria are
expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
