In Memory of: (5-11) Gloria (Michaud) Thornton, of Milford. Mrs. Thornton was proud of her French heritage, and she flourished growing up in the community of French Island. A hard worker, she enjoyed various careers, including store clerk, waitress, chicken farmer, antiques dealer, jam and pickle manufacturer, cook and businesswoman. She owned and operated, with her family, The Pines Restaurant and Kalico Kitchen in Milford. A lifelong communicant of St. Joseph/Holy Family Parish, she served on the parish council and was proud to be counted among the first Eucharistic Ministers in the parish. She also volunteered at the Old Town Museum and with the Omega Club and Altrusa. Mrs. Thornton will be long remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends and all those whose lives she touched;
