| | | Sec. 1. 19-A MRSA §4011, sub-§4 is enacted to read: |

| | | 4.__Probation.__Notwithstanding Title 17-A, section 1202, a | | person convicted of a violation of this section must be placed on | | probation for a period of 2 years. |

| | | This bill increases the period of probation for domestic abuse | | from one year to 2 years. |
