Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7801, sub-§35 is enacted to read:

 
35.__Restrictions on operating a motorboat with an engine
greater than 10 horsepower on a body of water 10 acres or less.__
A person is guilty of improper operation of a motorboat if that
person operates a boat powered by an engine with a power rating
greater than 10 horsepower on a body of water of 10 acres or less
in area.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill prohibits operation of a boat with an engine of more
than 10 horsepower on a body of water of 10 acres or less in
area.
