| | | Sec. 1. 1 MRSA §151, as amended by PL 1987, c. 769, Pt. B, §1, is | | repealed and the following enacted in its place: |

| | | The standard time in this State is one hour earlier than the | | time that is known and designated by federal statute as "United | | States Eastern Standard Time." |
|
| | | This bill changes the standard time observed in this State to | | one hour earlier than the Eastern Standard Time to require the | | observation of Daylight Savings Time year-round. |
