HOME INSPECTOR LICENSURE

§14001.__Definitions

As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise indicates, the following terms have the following meanings.

1.__Apprentice inspector.__"Apprentice inspector" means a person who is in training under the direct supervision of a professional inspector or a home inspector to become qualified to perform home inspections.

2.__Board.__"Board" means the Maine Board of Home Inspectors.

3.__Commissioner.__"Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Professional and Financial Regulation.

4.__Core home inspection courses.__"Core home inspection courses" means educational courses approved by the board, including but not limited to structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, roofing, business, legal, standards of practice, report writing, appliances and ethics courses, all of which must relate to a home inspection.

5.__Department.__"Department" means the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation.
