are in addition to those required for an apprentice
inspector license or a home inspector license; and

 
(3)__An applicant must be determined competent by the
board on the basis of an examination required by section
14006;

 
B. To be licensed as a home inspector:

 
(1)__An applicant meets the requirements and has been
licensed as an apprentice inspector for at least 3 months
and has performed at least 25 home inspections under
direct supervision before filing an application;

 
(2)__An applicant must satisfy the board as to that
applicant's honesty, trustworthiness, integrity and
competency;

 
(3)__An applicant for an original home inspector license
submits satisfactory evidence to the board of successful
completion of not fewer than 90 classroom hours of core
home inspection courses.__The board by rule may specify
the length and content of the core home inspection
courses required by this subparagraph;

 
(4)__An applicant must be determined competent by the
board on the basis of an examination required by section
14006; and

 
(5)__The applicant must be sponsored by a professional
inspector licensed under this chapter; or

 
C. To be licensed as an apprentice inspector:

 
(1)__An applicant must be an individual, a citizen of the
United States or a lawfully admitted alien, and a
resident of this State at the time of the filing of the
application;

 
(2)__The applicant must be sponsored by a professional
inspector licensed under this section;

 
(3)__The applicant must be at least 18 years of age; and

 
(4)__The applicant must satisfy the board as to the
applicant's honesty, trustworthiness and integrity.

 
2.__Substitution of relevant experience.__The board by rule
shall provide for the substitution of relevant experience or
additional education in lieu of the number of home inspections
