| Sec. 1. Elderly low cost drug program income eligibility and sliding scale copayment study |
| and report. The Department of Human Services shall study the |
| determination of eligibility for the elderly low cost drug |
| program and the imposition of copayments on a sliding scale. By |
| January 1, 2000, the department shall report to the Joint |
| Standing Committee on Health and Human Services on eligibility |
| and sliding scale copayments. The report must include |
| recommendations for legislation and the adoption of rules to |
| establish income eligibility beginning at $11,000 for an |
| individual and $14,000 for a family of 2 persons, effective July |
| 1, 2000. |
