Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §6006-F, sub-§9 is enacted to read:

9.__Loss of accreditation.__Notwithstanding subsections 3 to 6, for school year 1999-2000, the bank shall make available $80,000,000 in grants for construction, repair and renovation of schools that have lost their accreditation based on inadequacies or defects in the physical state of the schools.

Sec. 2. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Funds to be distributed by the Maine Municipal Bond Bank pursuit to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 30-A, section 6006-F, subsection 9.

SUMMARY
