| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7463-A, sub-§3, as amended by PL 1997, c. 432, §45, | | is further amended to read: |

| | | 3. Date and length of season. On or after January 1, 1982, | | the commissioner may establish open seasons on moose within the | | moose hunting zones established by the commissioner under | | subsection 1-A, as long as the season is held during the 3rd week | | of October and the number of hunting days in each year does not | | exceed 6. |

| | | This bill requires the moose hunting season to occur during | | the 3rd week of October. |
