Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7406, sub-§4, as enacted by PL 1979, c. 420, §1, is amended to read:

4. Hunting on Sunday. A person is guilty of hunting on Sunday if he that person hunts wild animals or wild birds on Sunday. Notwithstanding the prohibition on Sunday hunting, a person may hunt on Sundays for small game, upland birds, wild duck and wild geese, during the open season for that game, on land under the jurisdiction of the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission.

SUMMARY

This bill allows hunting on Sundays throughout land under the jurisdiction of the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission for small game, upland birds, wild ducks and wild geese.
