Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 1 MRSA §221 is enacted to read:

 
§221.__State soil

 
The Chesuncook soil series, a coarse-loamy, mixed, frigid,
Typic Haplorthod, is the official state soil.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill establishes the Chesuncook soil series as the
official state soil.
