Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the
General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

 
1999-002000-01

 
MENTAL HEALTH, MENTAL RETARDATION

 
AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES,

 
DEPARTMENT OF

 
Mental Health Services - Community

Provides funds for volunteer
peer support programs for
people with chronic mental
illness.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill provides General Fund appropriations totaling $4,000
over the 2000-2001 biennium to support volunteer peer support
programs for people with chronic mental illness.
