An Act to Provide Insurance Parity for Substance Abuse Treatment

SUMMARY
This bill requires that all individual and group health
insurance contracts provide coverage for substance abuse
treatment under the same terms and conditions as coverage for
physical conditions and illnesses. The bill applies to all
policies and contracts issued or renewed on or after January 1,
2000.
