Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §405, sub-§5
is enacted to read:
5.__Notification of expiration of registration.
__The Secretary
of State shall notify the owner of a motor vehicle of the
expiration date of the vehicle's registration.__The Secretary of
State shall send the notification not more than 60 nor fewer than
30 days before the expiration date.
SUMMARY
This bill requires the Secretary of State to notify the owner
of a motor vehicle of the registration expiration date.
