Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7472 is enacted to read:

 
§7472.__Coyote-snaring season

 
There is an open season on hunting coyotes by snare from
December 1st to March 31st.__A person may utilize an unlimited
number of snares to hunt coyote during this season.__The
commissioner may adopt rules to implement this section.__Rules
adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical rules as
defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter II-A.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill establishes an annual season for hunting coyotes by
snare that runs from December 1st to March 31st. It allows a
person to utilize an unlimited number of snares to hunt coyote.
