| | | Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §2056, sub-§4, as enacted by PL 1993, c. 683, Pt. A, | | §2 and affected by Pt. B, §5, is amended to read: |

| | | 4. Pedestrians in crosswalks. When traffic-control devices | | are not in operation, an operator must yield the right-of-way to | | a pedestrian crossing within a crosswalk or when the pedestrian | is on the same half of the way or | | closely as to be in danger. |
|
| | | This bill requires the operator of a motor vehicle to stop for | | a pedestrian when that pedestrian is within any part of a | | crosswalk that is not regulated by a traffic-control device. |
