Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §12709, sub-§17 is enacted to read:

17.__Academic honors.__To instruct the presidents of the colleges within the Maine Technical College System to develop policies whereby part-time students may be considered for dean's list and other academic honors in the same manner as are full- time students at those colleges.

SUMMARY

The purpose of this bill is to require that part-time students enrolled at each college within the Maine Technical College System receive the same consideration for dean's list and other academic honors as full-time students at these colleges.
