| | | Sec. 1. 24-A MRSA §2721-C is enacted to read: |

| | | §2721-C.__Age discrimination in accident policies |

| | | An insurer issuing an accident insurance policy may not | | contain a provision in the policy that lowers the amount of | | coverage payable under the policy after the insured reaches 70 | | years of age or older. |
|
| | | This bill prohibits insurers from lowering coverage limits for | | accident insurance for insureds 70 years of age or older. |
