Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §685-C, sub-§11 is enacted to read:

11.__Exception.__A person who owns property on the shore of a body of water identified under subsection 10 may operate a personal watercraft owned by that person on that body of water.__ The person must affix on the watercraft a decal issued by the commission that identifies the watercraft as one owned by a shorefront property owner.

SUMMARY

This bill allows a person to operate a personal watercraft on a body of water on which use of personal watercraft is otherwise banned if the person owns land on the shore of that body of water and if the person owns the personal watercraft.
