| | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows: |

| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §6436, sub-§2, as enacted by PL 1977, c. 661, §5, is | | amended to read: |
|
| | | 2. Exceptions. No violation of this section shall occur | | occurs if: |
|
| | | A. The lobster is immediately liberated alive into the | coastal waters when taken or discovered in a pound; or |
|
| | | B. The lobster is possessed and sold to the department by a | | lobster pound owner who has a permit to do so as provided in | this section. |
|
| | | C.__The v-notch cut measures 1/8 inch or less into the | | flipper. |
|
| | | This bill allows a person to possess a v-notch lobster if the | | notch cut measures 1/8 inch or less into the flipper. |
|
