Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §2251, sub-§10, as enacted by PL 1993, c. 683, Pt.
A, §2 and affected by Pt. B, §5, is amended to read:

 
10. Suspension. Pursuant to chapter 23, the Secretary of
State may suspend or revoke the motor vehicle driver's license
and certificate of registration of a person who is required to
make a report and fails to do so, fails to do so within the
required time period or who knowingly fails to give correct
information required on a report. If a license is suspended or
revoked, the Secretary of State is required to notify the
offender within 10 working days of suspension and revocation and
is required to provide necessary information concerning
reinstatement procedures and applicable reinstatement fees.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill requires the Secretary of State to notify a person
whose driver's license has been suspended or revoked within 10
days of that suspension or revocation and is also required to
provide information on the reinstatement procedures and fees.
