Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §2505 is enacted to read:

 
§2505.__Space for posting notices by political parties

 
A municipality shall designate a conspicuous space in a public
area for the posting of notices by political parties as defined
in Title 21-A, section 1, subsection 28.__A municipality does not
have responsibility other than to provide the space for the
posting of notices but may remove any materials that violate
state or federal laws.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill requires municipalities to provide space for posting
notices by political parties.
