Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §6207, sub-§2-A is enacted to read:

 
2-A.__Determination of local or regional significance.__At
least 10% of the funds distributed pursuant to this section must
be expended for acquisitions of lands that have local or regional
significance as determined by the board.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill requires that 10% of the funds expended by the Land
for Maine's Future Board to acquire natural lands be used to
acquire lands of local or regional significance.
