Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the
General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Tree Growth Tax Reimbursement

Notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes,
Title 36, section 578, provides reimbursement
to the Town of Cornville for property under
the Maine Tree Growth Tax Law for the 1997
program year.

 
Summary

 
This bill authorizes the reimbursement to the Town of
Cornville for its 1997 tree growth tax reimbursement denied as a
result of the town's failure to file its annual return to the
State Tax Assessor by the required deadline.
