| | | 1-A.__Suspension of license.__The court may suspend the | | operator's license or right to operate, or right to obtain a | | license, of a minor found in violation of section 2051 as | | follows: |

| | | C.__One year for the 3rd or subsequent offense. |

| | | 3. Secretary of State shall suspend license. | | | This bill amends the laws pertaining to consumption of alcohol | | by a minor by increasing the forfeiture for violation of the | | Maine Revised Statutes, Title 28-A, section 2051 from not less | | than $100 nor more than $300 to not less than $200 nor more than | | $400 for the first offense; not less than $200 nor more than $500 | | to not less than $300 nor more than $600 for the 2nd offense and | | from $500 to $600 for a 3rd and subsequent offenses. The bill | | also gives the court authority to suspend a license if a minor | | violates Title 28-A, section 2051. |
