| | | Sec. 1. 34-A MRSA §3814, as enacted by PL 1991, c. 314, §65, is | | amended to read: |

| | | All court-ordered and | | detainees to and from the Maine Youth Center is the | | responsibility of the sheriff of the county in which the court is | | located. For purposes of this section, "court-related | | transportation" is transportation to or from a courthouse. |

| | | This bill clarifies the sheriffs' duties to transport juvenile | | detainees to and from the Maine Youth Center and to or from a | | court house. |
