4.__Further action.__If, within 6 months from the initial referral, the child does not comply with the safety plan or other appropriate services, the intake officer shall petition the court to commence appropriate proceedings to obtain either out-patient or in-patient services for the child.

SUMMARY

This bill establishes the Children in Need of Services Program. The program provides for a safety plan consisting of housing, medical care, nutritional care and education for children 15 years of age and under who have been determined to be in need of supervision.
