SUMMARY

Robert Vadas owns a camp in Piscataquis County on land that abuts the West Branch of the Penobscot River, leased from Bowater Incorporated, which has a conservation easement held by the State through the Department of Conservation. Mr. Vadas had an outhouse on the property that was 15 feet from the river that he moved away from the river and for which he received all necessary permits. After moving the outhouse, Mr. Vadas was informed by the Department of Conservation that the location of the outhouse was in violation of the terms of the conservation easement. This resolve modifies the conservation easement to allow the outhouse to remain in its present location.
