| | | Sec. 6. Allocation. Resolved: That there is allocated from the General | | Fund the sum of $50,000,000 for fiscal year 1999-00 to carry out | | the purposes of this resolve. |

| | | Emergency clause. In view of the emergency cited in the preamble, | | this resolve takes effect when approved. |

| | | This resolve directs the Department of Defense, Veterans and | | Emergency Management, Maine Emergency Management Agency to | | establish a disaster relief food assistance program to be | | effective August 1, 1999. It also appropriates $50,000,000 for | | the purpose of having the department purchase items necessary for | | carrying out this resolve. |
