| | | Sec. 1. Review. Resolved: That the Department of Human Services | | shall review the case mix assessment tool and reimbursement rate | | for residential care facilities licensed under the Maine Revised | | Statutes, Title 22, chapter 1663 or 1665 to ensure that access | | and quality care to persons with Alzheimer's disease or other | | types of dementia is maintained. The department shall conduct | | this review in consultation with interested parties including, | | but not limited to: |

| | | 1. The Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter; |
|
| | | 2. Legal services for the elderly; |
|
| | | 3. The long-term care ombudsman program established in the | | Maine Revised Statutes, Title 22, section 5106, subsection 11-C; | | and |
|
| | | 4. Other relevant consumers and advocates for consumers and | | providers. |

| | | The department shall report the results of its review to the | | Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services by October | | 1, 1999. |
