| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §598-C is enacted to read: |

| | | If a person or organization donates, gives, grants or wills by | | deed of gift land to the State, the person or organization shall | | make provisions to provide for the future maintenance and upkeep | | of the land.__If provisions for the future maintenance and upkeep | | of the land are not adequate at the time of transfer, the State | | or its designated receiving agency may not accept the deed. |
