Sec. 1. 19-A MRSA §4013, sub-§5 is enacted to read:

5.__Employ director.__The commission may employ a director to serve as the principal administrative and executive employee of the commission.__The director may hire staff to carry out the coordination of the affairs of the commission.__The director may obtain meeting space, goods and services as required to carry out these responsibilities.

Sec. 2. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.
