Sec. 1. Greenhouse gas registry. Resolved: That the Department of
Environmental Protection shall adopt rules to create a voluntary
registry of greenhouse gas emissions. The rules must provide for
the collection of data on the origin of the carbon emissions as
either fossil fuel or renewable resources and the collection of
data on production activity to allow the tracking of future
emission trends. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are
routine technical rules as defined in the Maine Revised Statutes,
Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter II-A.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve directs the Department of Environmental
Protection to adopt rules to create a voluntary registry of
greenhouse gas emissions.
