Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §1301, sub-§5, as amended by PL 1997, c. 437, §30,
is repealed.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill removes the requirement that the Secretary of State
collect, store and verify a person's social security number upon
application or renewal for a noncommercial license or a nondriver
identification card number.
