All polymer bases must be approved by the director. | | All boxes used for burial must be protected with permanent | | vaults or grave liners. Stones, polymer bases and vaults | | may not be provided at state expense. |

| | | This bill allows the use of authorized polymer bases in Maine | | veterans' cemeteries. It also includes polymer bases among the | | items not provided at state expense. Polymer bases are used to | | prevent grave markers from sinking and for minimizing plant | | growth around the grave markers. |
