Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 25 MRSA §2003, sub-§17 is enacted to read:

 
17.__Exemption for concealed firearms permit holders from
other states.__A resident of another state who has a concealed
firearms permit or has the legal right to carry a concealed
firearm in another state may carry a concealed firearm in this
State without meeting the requirements of this section.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill allows persons who are allowed to carry concealed
firearms in other states to carry concealed firearms in this
State without having to get a permit to do so.
