Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Provides continued funding for the audio information service, the Maine Airs program, established through the Iris Network for people who are blind or visually impaired and other people in the State who are unable to access printed information due to a disability.

SUMMARY

This bill appropriates $45,000 in each year of the biennium to the Department of Labor for the continuation of the Maine Airs program through the Iris Network, formerly known as the Maine Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
