| | | Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §2304, sub-§5 is enacted to read: |

| | | 5.__Passenger safety seat belts for school buses.__Every new | | school bus, as defined in this subchapter, purchased for use in | | this State after January 1, 2002 must be equipped with safety | | seat belts for use by all passengers. |
