| Sec. 1. Development of guidelines. Resolved: That the Department of |
| Education shall develop guidelines for a school administrative |
| unit to follow when providing public education to a student who |
| has been indicted for or convicted of a violent crime. |
| Guidelines must be established by department rule and distributed |
| to school administrative units by January 1, 2002. Rules adopted |
| pursuant to this section are routine technical rules as defined |
| in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter |
| II-A. |
