Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Provides funds for the planning, designing, and construction of an educational component to the new visitors' center at Fort Knox State Park in the town of Prospect. All plans and designs must be approved by the State Historian in collaboration with the Board of Directors of the Friends of Fort Knox. The educational component of the visitors' center must include, but not be limited to, museum- quality displays for artifacts and other historic items that are a part of the history of Fort Knox, are the property of the State and are housed at Fort Knox State Park. These funds must also be used to provide a classroom environment in the visitors' center for the use of student groups and other associations that meet at Fort Knox for educational and historic preservation purposes.

This bill appropriates $200,000 for the planning, design and construction of an educational component for the visitors' center at Fort Knox State Park.
