Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §510, sub-§5 is enacted to read:

5.__Motor vehicle purchased at auction.__Registration is not required for a motor vehicle purchased at auction by a dealer, as defined in section 851, subsection 2, in order for that vehicle to be driven 25 miles or less from the dealership for inspection and repair.

SUMMARY

This bill provides that registration of a motor vehicle is not required for a motor vehicle purchased at auction by a dealer to be driven 25 miles or less from the dealership for inspection and repair.
