| This bill proposes amending the tax expenditure review |
| process. Under current law, the joint standing committee of the |
| Legislature having jurisdiction over taxation matters is required |
| to review tax expenditures according to the schedule set forth in |
| the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 36, section 198. This bill |
| would alter what needs to be reviewed and the timetable governing |
| such review. |
