| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7654, sub-§8, ¶D is enacted to read: |

| | | D.__Notwithstanding subsections 3, 5 and 6, a person who | | occupies a privately owned residence within a wildlife | | sanctuary may own or possess a firearm, store a firearm in | | the residence and transport a firearm to and from the | | residence. |

| | | This bill allows a person who lives in a privately owned | | residence in a wildlife sanctuary to own and possess a firearm, | | store the firearm in the person's residence and transport the | | firearm to and from the residence. |
