Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Appropriates funds to be disbursed as grants to agents authorized under the provisions of the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 12, section 7072. These grants must be used for the purchase of computers, establishment of internet connections or the installation of dedicated phones necessary to implement the automation of the department's licensing, registration and permitting processes.

SUMMARY

This bill appropriates $250,000 in fiscal year 2001-02 to the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to be used as grants to licensing agents for the purchase and installation of equipment necessary to implement the department's automated licensing system.
